Sound Bites of the Most Popular 72 Note Movements
Many of our customers have asked to hear some of the tunes that are placed in our music boxes. This page should help. The soundbites below are keyboard simulations of the melodies with the exact notation and tempo but a different tonality.
We can assure you that the virtual music boxes sound truly lovely.
The following tunes are recorded from 1.72, 2.72 or 3.72 note movements.
Movements - 18 Note Mechanism (1.18) Sankyo Gold (Best Seller)
#.72 means that the movement has 1,2 or 3 tunes and a comb that has 72 prongs (musical tones) available to play during the course of the melody. Many tunes are available in 18 or 30 notes too. The difference between a 72 note movement and 30 or 18 note movements is the amount of prongs or teeth on the comb and a much larger size that plays longer, both of which enable more musical embellishments.
